Exciting News
Hi all,
Well I have some exciting news, but I'll get to that shortly. First I'll let you know of my movements for the next few weeks:
14th May: Visit Paul Calabro (Cabbage) at the Gold Coast.
16th May: Sydney (Parramatta) for 2 weeks.
26th May: Tanya to visit me in Brisbane (yay! I get to see my girlfriend! My first visitor to stay at my new home).
24th June: Mum to visit me in Brisbane
And now for the exciting news:
I am going to the USA for training for work. I will be going to Colorado Springs, obviously this is in the state of Colorado. I am going to be training on a neutron generator device. I won't go into any more detail as it gets a bit complex.
I put in my passport application at the start of the week. So hopefully I get it delivered in a couple of weeks. As for a Visa, I won't need one as I am exempt through an agreement between Australia and the USA. Because I am travelling to the States for work and will be there for less than 1 month, I do not require a Visa.
I am going to buy a digital camera before I go so I can claim it on duty free. So there will be plenty of photos on the blog when I return. This also means I can take photos when I travel around Queensland for work and leisure!
And of course the most important details are:
11th June: Depart Brisbane
19th June: Depart Colorado Springs
21st June: Arrive Brisbane
The time difference is -15.5hrs (Aust CST). That is, Colorado Springs is 15½ hours behind Adelaide. For example if it were 10:30am on Sunday morning in South Australia then it would be 7:00pm Saturday evening in Colorado.
Cheers for now,
Damo
